FOR WHOM

Tell us how you sell. We'll tell you what to expect.

I sell on online marketplaces

Without your own UIN ( EPR , issued by ADEME), the platform files reports on your behalf and charges you for eco-contributions, commissions, and management fees. With your UIN, it stops doing so. CompliancR obtains them for you and forwards them to partner marketplaces.

I sell on my website or in-store

Whether you import, manufacture, or sell under your own brand, you are considered a producer under the law. CompliancR classifies each product, calculates your eco-contributions, and files your annual reports with the eco-organizations.

I am not a resident of France

Since Law No. 2026-602 of July 8, 2026, appointing a representative EPR in France has been mandatory. AlgoREP, which operates CompliancR, is a registered representative in the sectors listed at EPR. With a single mandate, we’ll take care of your obligations.

Three Words to Know

Scheme EPR

Product category (packaging, electronics, textiles, furniture, etc.) along with its designated recycling organization and fee schedule. A single product often falls under two or three different recycling streams.

UIN

A unique identifier issued by ADEME for each Scheme. It serves as proof of your registration, and marketplaces require it.

Eco-Fee

The amount owed to the recycling organization for each product placed on the market, calculated based on the fee schedule available at Scheme. This amount is passed on to the consumer through the retail price, just like VAT.

The Real Work

The problem isn't filing a tax return. It's knowing what to report.

An eco-fee is not calculated per product. It is calculated per product and per Scheme, based on a schedule that changes from year to year. A single item often falls under two or three different recycling streams at once, and the second one is almost always the one people forget.

A catalog of 2,000 items means 2,000 classifications that need to be updated every year. Today, this work is done manually by your teams or billed on a daily basis by a consulting firm. In both cases, it’s a slow process, and in both cases, it leads to errors that you don’t notice until the audit.

CompliancR . handles all of this work for you: classifying each product, determining the correct fee schedule for each recycling organization, and filing reports on your behalf. No need for an outside firm, no spreadsheets, and no need to start from scratch every year.

What You Pay

CompliancR calculates. Eco-organizations collect.

We apply the fee schedules set by environmental organizations; we do not create any ourselves. Your environmental fee remains the same amount as it is today and goes to the same recipient. What you pay to CompliancR is for the calculation, registration, and reporting.

So the benchmark isn't your recycling organization's bill. It's the time your teams spend each year figuring out how much you owe.

And the contribution itself, properly factored into your selling price, is passed on to the end customer. Just like sales tax.

IF YOU SELL ON MARKETPLACES

Your UIN also means no more direct debits EPR from the platforms.

Without UIN, French marketplaces have been required under the 2022 AGEC Act to report and pay eco-contributions on your behalf. They then bill you for these amounts, adding commissions and administrative fees.
Once your UIN have been submitted, they no longer charge any fees: you report and pay directly, at the rate specified in the schedule, without an intermediary. TheUIN is also the first check that marketplaces perform before creating your seller account, or before delisting you if your UIN are deleted.

The route, in order

Don't buy anything until you've seen what applies to you.

Four steps, completed in order, each at the time it becomes necessary. No long-term commitment.

01

Discover

Free

You can test up to ten items and find out which recycling streams and eco-fees apply to you. When you create your account, these ten products are already in your catalog.

02

Get your UIN

90 € per Scheme, one-time payment

You sign a Power of Attorney (POA) designating AlgoREP as your agent. We register your company with the relevant environmental organizations, obtain your “ UIN ,” and forward them to our partner marketplaces. You don’t have to do a thing.

03

Calculate

1 credit per product

Eco-contribution calculated by product and by Scheme, along with the rate code to be used for reporting. You purchase the credits you need, when you need them. The ten products in the test are offered free of charge.

04

Declare

3% of eco-contributions, with a minimum of €120 per Scheme

Amounts determined, certified reports submitted, and invoices from the environmental organization paid on your behalf. You remain solely responsible for the quantities placed on the market.

A credit is used in two cases, and only two: adding a product to the catalog, and updating the quantities placed on the market to prepare a report. The catalog credit is renewed annually because the pricing schedules change.

PRODUCER NOT ESTABLISHED IN FRANCE

If your company is registered outside France, you will need a French EPR Authorised Representative.

CompliancR is the service provider that manages your compliance with the EPR from start to finish.

Since the enactment of Law No. 2026-602, any producer not based in France must appoint an authorized representative for all the sectors EPR to which they belong.
This is no longer an option but a requirement.

AlgoREP, the publisher of CompliancR, is a EPR agent in France, covering multiple schemes. You sign a single written agreement. It covers the schemes to which you are exposed, and we take over the obligations from there. No five contracts with five Producers Responsability Organizations (PRO), no subsidiaries, no local hiring.

Waiting to see if the requirement is enforced is not a strategy: marketplaces move faster than regulators when their own interests are at stake.

What Producers Are Asking For

Four questions, four straight answers.

I'm already a member of a recycling organization. What are the benefits for me?

Your membership doesn’t calculate your eco-contributions for you—it simply collects them. The work of classifying products by type and by Scheme, determining the applicable rate code, and consolidating quantities before filing the report—you’re the one who does that right now. If you entrust this task to us, you can focus entirely on selling your products.

How long is my commitment?

There is no minimum commitment period. Signing up means filing tax returns for the current year, so the timeframe is inherently one year. After that, you can leave whenever you want, and your UIN remain yours: they are tied to your company, not to your service provider.

What if your algorithm uses the wrong Scheme ?

Our algorithms aren't magic. Just like a human expert, they need a minimum amount of information: a description, a weight, and ideally an image. A “wall mount” could be a picture frame, a shelf, or a TV, depending on what the image shows. When data is missing, we’ll ask you for it rather than guess.
When we prepare your reports, we contractually guarantee the validity of the rates applied. We’ll support you in the event of an audit by an environmental certification body.

What are the consequences if I do nothing?

Two things, in this order. Delisting by marketplaces, which monitor UIN because they are personally liable. Then, the removal of theUIN by the eco-organization in the event of missing reports or unpaid eco-contributions. This removal is permanent: a deleted UIN cannot be reactivated; it requires a complete re-registration from scratch.
